So it's been a while since I was on DA. Some things have changed, but I hope to be around a bit more than the last, oh, 3 years or so... geez. "THEY" are right when they say the older you get the faster time flies.

So my husband and I just moved to Glasgow, Scotland and we love it here. It's our first time in a large city with public transportation, and all that. It's really nice to be able to just walk 3 minutes to get necessities. Brilliant!
I am looking for work, so until then, I may be around more often.

wow a year and a half since my last journal posting!! sheesh.

I've been so busy. My job requires me to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day and "be creative". So by the time I get home in the evening, I don't want to sit another minute in front of a computer. Ergo, my creativity has suffered. I did just upload some of the better stuff from my job, but unfortunately, most of what I do is not creative enough for DA. Yeah, I know, same old story "my job is sucking the life out of me".

On to some good news! My husband was accepted to Grad school in the UK, so we are moving to Glasgow in September! YAY. If anyone sees this from Glasgow, please, any advice would be much appreciated, or even Scotland or the UK in general. We've been trying to read up on cultural differences so as not to be offensive, but that only gets you so far. Like I know now never to say "fanny" in the UK. Not that I would in the states; here it's an old fashioned word for derriere. There is apparently a severely horrendous curse word along the lines of c***. Who knew?

Ok, so the wedding is over! Phew, took a lot out of me...so now I have more time for non-wedding creative stuff, like playing with the digital versions of my wedding pictures!! YAY. and working on a photo book for the family, etc. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, but a lot like my job at the same time.

We have moved into a nice big apartment but I have nothing on the walls because I have big plans to do large paintings, which I have never really done. I am thinking more abstract stuff....dunno.

So, in short, expect to see me around a bit more, that is if anyone remembers who I am, because it's been a long time...sheesh.

I just want to say how I miss being on Deviantart...I am under so much stress that I wish I had time to sit and work on my own artwork, or at the least look at everyone else's great stuff. I am getting married in 6 months and the ONLY thing I have is the dress, that's right, not even a church! why?? Because no one will CALL US BACK!! we don't have the money to rent a chapel at 900.00+ and you would think that the church that my fiance is actually a member of would call us back; we've been calling for a month!! I've already had to move our "prospective" wedding date back 2 weeks because a woman at work took a week's vacation during what would have been our honeymoon, and did I mention that we are getting married in our hometown 130 miles away? yeah that's a  lot of fun calling people and driving back and forth...and since I spend more than 2.5 hours A DAY in my car getting back and forth to work, I am also shopping for an apartment closer to my job (that accepts dogs, will be our "first apartment together" after the wedding and, most importantly; is affordable and not in the projects. The best result so far is almost double my rent now. Add to that, my fiance is working out of town during the week until after the wedding...my job is "reflowing" things meaning I get to have more responsibility with no extra pay...I just need a day off!! on the plus side, the extra hours at the gym are paying off a little...and holding the stress back just a tad...so far no one can tell that my smile is really me clenching my jaw until my teeth almost shatter
